Stopping the running backup plan stops all its tasks. Thus, all the task operations
will be aborted.

What will happen if I stop the task?
Gen erally, stopping the task aborts its operation (backup, recovery, validation,
exporting, conversion, migration). The task enters the Stopping state first, then
becomes Idle. The ta s k schedul e, i f created, remai ns vali d. To compl ete th e
operation you will have to run the task over again.
recovery task (from the disk backup): The target volume will be deleted and
its space unallocated – you wi ll get the s ame r esul t i f the recovery i s
unsuccessful. To recover the "lost" volume, you will have to run the task once
agai n.
recovery tas k (from the fi l e backup): The aborted op erati on may cause
cha nges i n the des ti nati on folder. Some fi les may be recovered, bu t some
not, depending on the moment when you stopped the task. To recover all the
files, you will have to run the ta s k once a gain.
